If you are using a modern version of Safari, it is possible that the auto-play of sounds and video are disabled for you including the audible notifications for the Olark chatbox widget.

Enable browser sound notifications

  1. In Safari, navigate to app.olark.com
  2. Click on the website settings icon in the address bar (to the left of the website address)
  3. Click on “Auto-Play” in the General section
  4. Change it from “Stop Media with Sound” to “Allow all auto play.”
